Catania Fontanarossa Airport, also known as Vincenzo Bellini Airport, is an international airport located 4.3 km southwest of Catania in Sicily.

Its Italian name is Aeroporto Internazionale Vincenzo Bellini di Catania Fontanarossa (IATA: CTA, ICAO: LICC). It bears the name of Catania-born opera composer Vincenzo Bellini.

Inaugurated in May 2007, Terminal A comprises two floors with a combined surface area of 44,460 square meters. While departures are on the first floor, arrivals are on the ground floor. The terminal features 12 passenger security gates, six boarding loading bridges, eight baggage reclaim belts, and 55 check-in and drop-off counters for all airport airlines.

The first airport in the area was Catania Airport, which opened its doors in 1924. The Allies took it during the Sicily Campaign of World War II, and the United States Army Air Forces utilized it as a military airstrip.

From 27 August until 19 November 1943, the 340th Bombardment Group, which flew B-25 Mitchells, was based at the airport and utilized as a combat airfield by Twelfth Air Force.

Additionally, the airport served as the headquarters for the 51st Troop Carrier Wing from 29 September 1943 until 29 June 1944. For the remainder of the conflict, several transport units utilized the airfield. It was returned to civil authority after the war.
